What a week it has been across the Digital Terrace.
From Scotland to Malta, England to Canada, and Sweden to Croatia, our 16 clubs have delivered the moments that make football impossible to leave alone: late goals, local rivalries, cup tension, penalty heartbreak and performances that can change the mood of an entire season.

Scotland: Stenhousemuir rise, while Dumbarton fight back
Stenhousemuir FC: top of the Championship
Stenhousemuir produced one of the standout results of the week with a confident 2–0 victory away at Queen’s Park on 22 August.
After a goalless first half, the Warriors found their breakthrough four minutes after the restart. O’Reilly struck in the 49th minute, before Buchanan added a second in the 84th to secure a memorable away win.
The result sent Stenhousemuir top of the Scottish Championship : a perfect example of how quickly belief can build when a team finds rhythm early in a campaign.

Dumbarton: defeat, drama and a cup fight
It was a busy week for Dumbarton, beginning with a 1–3 defeat away at Kelty Hearts on 22 August. McIntosh converted a penalty, but the Sons could not find a way back into the match.
There was a stronger response in the Scottish Challenge Cup on 25 August, as Dumbarton drew 2–2 with Celtic B. Campbell scored, while an own goal also helped Dumbarton claim a share of the spoils in a lively tie.

England: doubles, replays and cup progress
Hebburn Town: Jake Charles takes centre stage
Hebburn Town travelled to Buxton on 22 August and returned with all three points after a gripping 2–1 victory.
The difference was Jake Charles, who scored both goals in a brilliant individual display. A two-goal away performance is always special, but doing it in a competitive National League North fixture makes it even more valuable.

Charles’ double is one of the week’s defining Digital Terrace moments. Hebburn now have the opportunity to build on that momentum at home.
Billericay Town: four goals on the road
Billericay Town were also away-day winners, beating Farnham Town 4–2 on 22 August.
The goals were shared across a productive attacking performance, with Ruff scoring twice, alongside strikes from Bonne and Clark. Six goals made it an entertaining afternoon, but Billericay will be particularly pleased with the efficiency and variety of their finishing.

Fakenham Town: replay victory sends them through
Few clubs experienced more cup drama than Fakenham Town.
Their FA Cup preliminary round tie at St Ives Town finished 2–2 on 22 August, with Watts and Michta finding the net. That meant a replay at Fakenham on 25 August : and this time, the home side made no mistake.
A 2–0 victory secured Fakenham’s progression and gave supporters another cup memory to carry into the next round.

Swindon Supermarine: a winning start to the FA Cup
Swindon Supermarine also advanced in the FA Cup, winning 3–1 away at Didcot Town on 22 August.
It was a composed performance on the road and sets up a positive platform for the next stage of the competition.

Malta: derby joy for Floriana, frustration for Sliema
The Maltese Old Firm delivered one of the biggest fixtures of the week as Floriana faced Sliema Wanderers on 21 August.
Floriana claimed the bragging rights with a 2–0 victory, taking the lead through D. Vella in the 37th minute. Paul Mbong then converted a penalty in the 74th minute to seal the result.
It was Floriana’s second win from two matches, giving them an ideal start and making the derby victory even sweeter.

For Sliema, the result means a second straight defeat. Yet football moves quickly, and the Blues have the chance to respond immediately.

Wales and Northern Ireland: points shared and a postponed contest
Ruthin Town: a lively draw at Guilsfield
Ruthin Town came away from Guilsfield with a 2–2 draw on 22 August.
Yelegon and Pughe were on the scoresheet for Ruthin in a match that showcased the competitiveness of Cymru North football. The result leaves supporters looking forward to a home fixture against Mold Alexandra as the week reaches its conclusion.

Limavady United: waiting for the next chance
Limavady United’s scheduled league match at Larne on 22 August was postponed because of Larne’s European commitments.
That leaves Limavady preparing for a major home meeting with Linfield.

FC Písek
FC Písek suffered a 1–3 defeat away at Králův Dvůr on 22 August. Prášek scored in the 43rd minute, but Písek could not turn the goal into a positive result.

NK Opatija
NK Opatija played out an entertaining 2–2 draw at Jadran Luka Ploče on 22 August.

Virtus Verona
Virtus Verona endured the sharpest kind of cup disappointment. Their Coppa Italia Serie D tie with Schio finished 1–1 after extra time on 23 August, before Schio prevailed 4–3 on penalties.
There is no long wait for the next chapter, however. Virtus Verona’s Serie D league campaign begins on 6 September against Villa Valle.

Pacific FC
Pacific FC’s meeting with Forge FC on 22 August was delayed by weather, but eventually went ahead with Forge securing a 2–0 win.
